Sign in basics
Returning users sign in with the same phone number and password created at registration. The app formats Macedonian numbers automatically.
Sign in steps
- Open Chisto.mk and tap Sign in.
- Enter your phone number and password.
- Tap Sign in and wait for the session to load.
SMS OTP verification
New accounts and some security flows send a one-time code by SMS. Enter the code before it expires. Codes are short lived and cannot be reused.
If the code does not arrive
- Confirm airplane mode is off and you have signal.
- Wait one minute, then tap Resend code.
- Check that the phone number has no typos.
- Disable SMS filtering apps that might hide sender messages.
Location gate at sign in
Registration requires your device location to be inside Macedonia. Sign in itself does not repeat the gate every time, but reporting, eco actions, and some edits check location again.
When location is blocked
- Enable Location Services for Chisto.mk while using the app.
- Turn off mock location or developer GPS tools.
- Move outdoors briefly so GPS can settle near tall buildings.
Password recovery
Use Forgot password on the sign in screen. You receive instructions by email or SMS depending on the flow active in your build.
Recovery checklist
- Use the same email you registered with.
- Open recovery links on the same device when possible.
- Choose a new password that meets the app rules.
Sign out and shared devices
Sign out from profile settings before handing your phone to someone else. Draft reports stay on the device until you discard them or submit.
Good habits
- Enable a screen lock on phones you carry daily.
- Do not share SMS codes with anyone.
- Update the app from the App Store or Google Play when updates appear.
