This Cookie Policy explains how Здружение за животна средина ЕКОХАБ Скопје ("Chisto.mk," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar storage on the Chisto.mk marketing website. Mobile apps follow the Privacy Policy for device storage, push tokens, and map caches.

1.2 Legal framework

We comply with the ePrivacy framework as transposed in Macedonia, the GDPR where it applies, the Law on Personal Data Protection (Official Gazette No. 42/2020), and the Law on Electronic Communications (Official Gazette No. 39/2014).

1.3 Consent on the website

Strictly necessary storage works without consent. Optional Vercel Web Analytics loads only if you accept analytics in our banner. You can reopen choices via Cookie settings in the footer (https://www.chisto.mk/en/cookies#cookie-settings).

2.1 Definition

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Local storage is a related browser feature we use to remember your analytics choice.

2.2 Duration and party

• • Session cookies expire when you close the browser.
• • Persistent cookies or storage entries stay until they expire or you clear site data.
• • First-party entries are set by our site. Third-party scripts (Vercel Analytics, when enabled) may set their own identifiers under Vercel's policies.

2.3 Mobile apps

Apps use secure storage, SQLite or file caches, Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens, and similar tools described in the Privacy Policy rather than browser cookies.

On the website we use storage to:

• • Keep the site working (security, load balancing, and similar basics handled by our host)
• • If you opt in, measure aggregate traffic with Vercel Web Analytics

We do not use marketing or social advertising pixels on this site today.

4.1 Strictly necessary storage

We store your analytics choice in browser localStorage (key chisto_cookie_consent_v1) so the banner does not reset every visit and so we can respect rejections. Our hosting provider may also set short-lived technical cookies for security or delivery. Legal basis: legitimate interests and, where applicable, provision of the service you request.

4.2 Optional analytics (consent)

If you opt in, we load Vercel Web Analytics to collect aggregate page views and performance metrics. Legal basis: consent. You can withdraw consent anytime via Cookie settings (https://www.chisto.mk/en/cookies#cookie-settings).

4.3 What we do not use here

We do not operate a separate marketing pixel, Facebook Pixel, or Google Ads tags on this marketing site in the current build. If that changes, we will update this Policy and the banner before enabling them.

5.1 Technologies

The apps store login tokens securely, cache map tiles for performance, keep preferences locally, and register Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens when you enable notifications.

5.2 Advertising identifiers

We do not use the advertising ID to serve third-party ads in the current product. OS-level ad settings still apply generally on your device.

5.3 Permissions

We request access to location, camera, photos, and notifications only when a feature needs them. You can change permissions in device settings.

6.1 Banner and footer

On your first visit we ask whether to enable optional analytics. You can reopen the choice from "Cookie settings" in the footer (https://www.chisto.mk/en/cookies#cookie-settings). The marketing site does not expose account-level cookie menus.

6.2 Browser controls

You may clear or block cookies and site data in your browser; blocking everything can break the site.

6.3 Do Not Track

Browsers may send DNT signals; we do not treat DNT as a binding legal request today because industry practice is inconsistent.

Consent records in localStorage remain until you clear site data or we bump the storage version. Vercel Analytics identifiers follow Vercel's documentation (often well under two years). Hosting cookies are typically short session cookies.

The website may show ordinary links to social networks. Simply visiting our pages does not embed social login. If you click through to a network, that network's policy applies.

9.1 Security

We serve the site over HTTPS and limit access to analytics dashboards.

9.2 Retention

Analytics data is handled under Vercel's terms. When you withdraw consent we stop loading their script on future page loads.

9.3 Transfers

Vercel may process data in the United States or other regions. We rely on appropriate safeguards described in their documentation and our Privacy Policy.

11.1 Our Platform is not directed at children under 18 years of age.

11.2 We do not knowingly collect cookie data from children under 18.

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our use of cookies, new legal requirements, improvements to the Platform, or user feedback.
