Offline and slow networks

How the app uses the network
Maps, photos, and submissions sync when connectivity returns. Some map tiles cache so you can browse lightly offline. Account actions usually need a live session.
Expectations
- Draft fields save locally until you submit.
- Large photos take longer on mobile data.
- Event chat and check-in need a connection.
Report drafts offline
The 4-step report wizard saves progress as a draft. You can leave mid flow and resume from the Reports tab or the Report FAB sheet.
Draft tips
- Finish Evidence and Details before you lose signal if possible.
- Confirm the Location pin when you regain GPS.
- Submit on Wi-Fi when photos are large.
Uploads and pending states
Pending means the device is still sending data or the server has not confirmed receipt. Do not start a second report for the same issue while pending spins.
If you are stuck
- Open the report summary and look for retry prompts.
- Capture smaller photos if uploads fail repeatedly.
- Wait on stable Wi-Fi before force closing the app.
Airplane mode and roaming
International roaming can block background uploads. Finish uploads before flights when possible.
Travel tips
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi before editing long descriptions.
- Double check event reminders if time zones shift.
- QR check-in needs live data at the venue.
When to escalate
If the app crashes twice while uploading, pause and collect OS version and app version before contacting support. Reinstalling can clear local drafts.
Before you write to us
- Restart the device once.
- Confirm you are on the latest build from the App Store or Google Play.
- Capture screenshots of error text and blur personal details.
