Why moderation exists
Chisto.mk publishes civic environmental signals. Moderation reduces spam, protects people from harassment, and keeps the map readable for partners in Macedonia.
What reviewers look for
- Evidence that matches the Location pin and time window.
- Respectful language without personal attacks.
- Duplicates folded into the same site when that keeps the story clearer.
Report and event statuses
Reports and eco actions show Under review until moderators decide. Approved content appears publicly. Declined content includes guidance when moderators provide it.
Status meanings
- Under review: human review in progress.
- Approved: visible on Home feed, Map tab, or Events.
- Declined: does not meet guidelines. Edit and resubmit when allowed.
Respectful contributions
Assume good intent from neighbours and organisers. Focus on conditions you can photograph or describe factually.
Community norms
- No doxxing: avoid posting private addresses for people instead of sites.
- No hate speech or coordinated brigading.
- Do not upload imagery that sexualises minors or glorifies self harm.
Block and escalate
Block user on profiles or comment threads when someone targets you. For serious threats, contact us with screenshots and URLs.
Escalation paths
- Block first for persistent harassment in app.
- Use Contact for illegal content or imminent harm.
- Organisers can remove disruptive event chat participants per house rules.
